The SIRUI Night Walker T1.2 cine lenses promise cinematic results on a budget, combining a fast T1.2 aperture, fully manual cinema controls, and a compact S35 design. In this SIRUI Night Walker T1.2 review, I test the 16mm and 75mm cine lenses, take a close look at their build quality and controls, and show real-world cinematic footage with manual focus pulls. Store Link: https://bit.ly/46hNGTy Discount Code: SCANVERDICT @SIRUIImaging The SIRUI Night Walker T1.2 S35 Cine Lens Series is designed for filmmakers, content creators, and videographers who want dedicated cinema lenses without moving into the price range of professional high-end cine glass. For this review, SIRUI sent me the black 16mm + 75mm set in Sony E-mount. Both lenses feature a fast T1.2 maximum aperture, geared focus and aperture rings, a long 270-degree focus throw, and a stepless aperture ring. The consistent physical design across the Night Walker series is particularly useful when working with a follow focus, camera cage, matte box, or other cinema rig accessories. In the first part of the video, I unbox the SIRUI Night Walker lens set and take a detailed look at both lenses. I show the construction, front and rear elements, focus and aperture rings, cine gears, markings, and overall handling. You can also see how smoothly the manual focus rings operate and how the two different focal lengths compare physically. The 16mm T1.2 provides a wide field of view that works well for establishing shots, landscapes, architecture, interiors, and environmental filmmaking. The 75mm T1.2 offers a much tighter perspective with stronger subject isolation and background compression, making it useful for portraits, close-ups, product shots, details, and cinematic B-roll. I also test the 75mm Night Walker inside my studio, moving focus manually between my Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K Full Frame, a 7-inch monitor, and other objects at different distances. This gives a practical demonstration of the long focus throw and the level of control these manual cinema lenses provide. The final section is dedicated to real-world outdoor footage shot with the SIRUI Night Walker 16mm and 75mm T1.2 lenses. Instead of simply talking about image quality, I wanted to show what these lenses can actually produce. Watch the focus transitions carefully — these shots demonstrate how easy it is to move focus manually between different subjects and distances. I applied my own cinematic color grade to the sample footage. Color grading is naturally a creative choice, so the final look can be changed significantly depending on your camera, lighting, workflow, and preferred cinematic style. If you are looking for affordable cine lenses, fast T1.2 lenses, manual focus cinema lenses, S35 cine lenses, or a compact cinema lens set for filmmaking, the SIRUI Night Walker series is an interesting option to consider. ⏱️ TIMESTAMPS 00:00 — Intro & Cinematic Preview 00:25 — SIRUI Night Walker T1.2 Unboxing 00:53 — Carrying Case & Cine Lens Design 01:43 — 16mm & 75mm T1.2 Lenses 02:31 — 75mm T1.2 Close-Up & Controls 03:37 — 16mm T1.2 Close-Up & Controls 04:23 — 16mm T1.2 Camera Setup 05:12 — 75mm T1.2 Camera Setup 06:10 — 75mm T1.2 Studio Footage & Manual Focus Test 07:10 — Final Thoughts 07:45 — Outdoor Cinematic Footage & Focus Tests Thanks for watching!
