A USDA-funded project measured pollen levels from cannabis fields using drones, then built detailed forecasts of how that pollen spreads through the air using computational fluid dynamics. The goal: determine a safe distance between high-THC strains and other strains grown for CBD or hemp, to prevent unwanted cross-pollination on cannabis and hemp farms — and even home or backyard grows (check the laws in your area).
