Tim Pritlove präsentiert ART+COMs Terravision (später auch T_Vision) auf dem Telekom-Stand auf der CeBIT 1998. Ausschnitt aus einer Reportage von N3 (NDR). Terravision war das revolutionäre Echtzeit-Visualisierungssystem der kompletten Erde, zusammengesetzt aus Satelliten- und Luftbildern sowie architektonischen 3D-Modellen. Das System lief auf einer SiliconGraphics Onyx RealityEngine. Das User Interface ist der ebenfalls von ART+COM entwickelte "EarthTracker": ein riesige Kugel (mit der man die Erdkugel auf dem Bildschirm ohne Verzögerung direkt rotieren lassen konnte) und eine DLR SpaceMouse, die eine direkte Flug- und Ansichtskontrolle über die Erdoberfläche erlaubte. Terravision wurde 1994 vom ART+COM e.V. in Berlin entwickelt und gilt das als erste System seiner Art. Über 10 Jahre gab es nichts vergleichbares und das System wurde später von Keyhole/Google plagiiert und als Google Earth bekannt. Die Geschichte von Terravision ist auch die Grundlage für die Netflix-Miniserie "The Billion Dollar Code" (2021).
