In which any person could get a bond issued by depositing Rs 1000 to crores of rupees in SBI Bank and could give that bond to the party of his choice. In this, the name and amount of the donor were kept secret. Earlier, if any party received funding of more than Rs 20,000, then the name of the person giving funding to that party had to be made public. But after the introduction of electoral bonds, this did not happen. That is, despite having the right to information, the public was not able to know about this information. It is not possible to even get a clue as to how much money has been donated by which company to which party and what benefits it is providing to that company after coming to power! Last year, through this electoral bond, BJP got Rs 719 crore and Congress got Rs. 719 crore. It has received funding of Rs 80 crore, but who gave it is not known.
