Student Videoworks was a student organization to get access to the local cable TV studio. It was created by Barry Schmetter and Jim Gleason. This was my opportunity to learn to shoot and edit video. I am forever indebted to them and to University of Illinois Cable TV. I programmed the SVTV logo on the color PLATO terminal and shot it off the monitor because there was no composite video line out. I defocussed a little to kill the herringbone aliasing. I programmed the sound on the Gooch Cybernetic Synthesizer at the CERL PLATO Music Research Project. The PSA was shot at the local, brand new, cablevision studio, in 1981, using Student Videoworks members as crew.
