This week I give a little sneak peek of my 1974 Honda XL 100 Enduro dirt bike restoration and engine swap out of a 1986 or 1987 Honda ATC125M 3 wheeler. Here is the link to the rest of the build videos of this bike if you want to check it out more: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqNHNRAa0_8&list=PLmU1QZjQHa1v8kzemtBHGLgh4mN0H3Di8&index=1 I wanted a vintage endure motocross looking bike so I picked up a rolling chassis locally and a Honda ATC 125M three wheeler engine off of ebay. Luckily the engine runs great and the customer body panels made out of Walmart Bondo Fiberglass and paint are coming together nicely! I start out talking about how the bike started as a $100 dollars. I had to fabricate a dual rear brake setup now that I have a centrifugal clutch semi auto transmission. The electronics like the coil, cdi and wiring harness is a generic ebay pit bike wiring harness I picked up for $25. I made the custom side panels out of fiberglass and I made the seat pan and seat foam from scratch. I even added a nice squishy gel foam seat core. I build the exhaust pipe from some rusted out atc200 and atc185S exhausts from the junk pile. I made a custom muffler out of a generic two stroke ebay muffler and a Harley Sportster baffle and a USFS (united states forest service) approved Fisch spark arrestor. I take the bike for its first test ride. I have a little tuning and jetting I need to do the carburetor but it looks like everything is going to run great. I give a little preview of the welding and paint and body work this week.
