중국의 한 박물관에서 한글을 마치 중국 소수민족 문자인 것처럼 전시하고 있다는 사실이 알려졌는데 참 황당하네요. 중국 허난성 안양시에 있는 중국문자박물관 이야기인데요. 우리 문화 지키기 활동을 해온 서경덕 성신여대 교수가 SNS에 공유한 글에 따르면 이 박물관 2층 소수민족 전시실에 마련된 한글 전시 구역에서 여러 오류가 발견됐습니다. 우선 한글을 조선문이라고 소개했고 영문 표기도 코리안 알파벳이 아닌 코리안으로 잘못 적고 있습니다. 세종대왕의 한글 창제 연도도 1444년 1월로 소개했지만 실제 창제 시점은 1443년 12월이고요. 무엇보다 문제는 한글을 중국 소수민족 문자 가운데 하나인 것처럼 전시하고 있다는 것입니다. 서 교수는 한복, 김치에 이어 이번에는 한글까지 중국 문화라고 억지 주장을 펼칠 것이 뻔해 보인다며 우리 정부 기관의 강력한 항의와 시정 조치를 촉구했습니다.
