In today's video, we are going to talk about the differences between the Autobrake System and the Anti-skid System. Some Pilots think that these two systems are actually the same, but this is not true. The Autobrake System provides automatic braking upon landing or during take-off at a constant deceleration ratio. Most of the Airliners are equipped with an Autobrake selector that allows you to set the Autobrake system to different settings. If you use the Reversers during the landing roll out the Autobrake system will release the brake pressure in order to maintain a constant deceleration rate. This is done in order to lower the temperature on the brakes. The Anti-skid System is a protection that you have against wheels skidding, locked wheels, and so on. This system will make sure that the brake pressure is released when a skidding or a locked wheel is detected. As you can see these two systems work together but have different duties. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you feel like supporting the PILOTCLIMB channel with a donation you can send a PayPal or a crypto transaction to the addresses below: PayPal address: https://www.paypal.me/PilotClimb BTC address: 3DMaWztGYufX9WH33hSVNouwVpMEBA6m1t ETH address: 0x486fcA0234e2950D2068d1171379F5Efb36B911A ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 👇To watch the video regarding the TORA, TODA, ASDA click the link below👇 https://youtu.be/szeLP-SgdGY 👇To watch the video regarding the Balanced V1 click the link below👇 https://youtu.be/x_l77m6QFgo 👇To watch the video about the International Standard Atmosphere (ISA) click the link below👇 https://youtu.be/dicULSq9d0s #PILOTCLIMB Timestamps: 00:00 Intro 00:55 What is the Autobrake System 01:49 What is the Anti-skid System 02:28 Differences between Autobrake and Anti-skid 02:43 Autobrake Constant Deceleration Rate. ============================================================== Disclaimer: THIS VIDEO IS FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY.
