"Vårsøg" is a famous norwegian tune composed in 1977 by Henning Sommero, a norwegian composer and artist born 3rd of Mai 1952. Vårsøg is inspired by a poem by the norwegian writer Hans Hyldbakk. Hans Hyldbakk wrote his poem "Vårsøg" towards the end of the 2nd world war as a poem of optimism and a symbol for recalling and evocating the approaching spring after 4 years of german occopation of Norway in 1945. Hyldbakk's poem is also a hommage to the longing and approaching piece-time commencing the end of the second world war.
