The fourth and final talisman - the Air Talisman - is hold by the Hammerites in their tempel - too many religious fanatics to simply sneak into. So Garrett made the plan to pose as a novice and just walk through the main gate. Of course once he's in it won't become a walk in the park ... Total loot value on all difficulty settings: 2758 Gameplay-wise the mission differs from most others in an interesting way: Similar to the Hitman series, the key here isn't not to be seen; everyone can see you so don't draw too much attention on you. However, you may notice at some points that the AI isn't really made for this kind of gameplay. There's one big difference between this mission in the original Thief and Thief Gold: In the original you also have to obtain the Earth Talisman from the Hammerite temple. In Thief Gold this was moved to its own mission, The Mage Towers. 00:00 - Briefing 02:04 - Mission Start 02:40 - Wallbuilder's Prayer papyrus (needed later) 03:03 - High Priest's Hammer (needed later) 06:57 - Switch 1 (use all within 5 mins as part of obtaining talisman) 07:10 - Switch 2 08:09 - Switch 3 09:42 - Switch 4 10:03 - Switch 5 10:41 - Obtaining the Air Talisman 11:24 - Escape & rest of loot 12:26 - First Hammer ===================================================== Play- and walkthrough of Mission 12 "Undercover" (mission 9 in the original version) of stealth-action grandfather Thief: The Dark Project in the Thief Gold version with TFix and the HD Mod 1.2 on the highest difficulty "Expert". I'm playing more or less rapid but not even close to speed-running, mostly as ghost but if someone stands between me and my loot and can't be avoided I won't hesitate to knock him out but no human was seriously harmed during production of this video. However, that doesn't count for undeads, burricks, spiders and other nonhumans... in any case I think the video series works very well as a walkthrough and at the same time as "just for watching" a full playthrough including story without aimless wandering. Thief Gold is available on Steam and GOG. TFix (primarily for running smooth on modern systems) and the HD Texture Mod 1.2 are available on moddb.com. #thief #walkthrough #playthrough #stealthgame #retrogaming
