This City in Guatemala Feels Like Time Travel 🇬🇹 Step into the heart of Guatemala with me as I explore the timeless beauty of Antigua Guatemala — a city that truly feels like traveling back in time 🇬🇹 In this travel vlog, I journey from Panajachel to Antigua, one of the most stunning colonial cities in Central America and a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. From the moment I arrived, Antigua’s cobblestone streets, colorful architecture, historic churches, and breathtaking volcano views completely captured my attention. The adventure starts with a stressful moment when I almost missed my shuttle leaving Panajachel 😳, but after finally arriving in Antigua at night, I immediately headed out to explore the city’s magical atmosphere. Walking through the illuminated streets felt surreal, with centuries-old buildings, lively plazas, and street musicians creating an unforgettable vibe. During my time in Antigua, I visited some of the city’s most famous landmarks, including Central Park (Parque Central), the Cathedral of San José, the iconic Santa Catalina Arch, and several beautiful colonial churches and ruins. Every corner of Antigua tells a story, making it one of the most photogenic and culturally rich destinations in Guatemala. I also experienced local life by watching the Super Bowl in a restaurant packed with travelers and locals, showing how Antigua blends international tourism with authentic Guatemalan culture. The city’s cafes, restaurants, and rooftop viewpoints added even more charm to the experience. One of the highlights of this trip was waking up early to wander through the quiet streets before the crowds arrived. The morning light hitting the colonial buildings, combined with views of nearby volcanoes like Volcán de Agua, made Antigua feel absolutely magical. Even with limited time, I walked for hours exploring hidden alleys, historic ruins, and local markets while soaking in the city’s unique energy. Of course, no backpacking adventure is complete without a little chaos — and I eventually had to sprint through the streets to catch my next shuttle on time 😂. Moments like these are what make solo travel so exciting and memorable. If you’re planning a trip to Guatemala, Antigua is a destination you cannot miss. Whether you love history, architecture, street photography, food, or adventure travel, this city offers an incredible mix of culture and beauty that leaves a lasting impression. This video is part of my Central America travel series, documenting real experiences, budget travel moments, local culture, and unforgettable destinations across the region. 👉 Next stop: Santa Ana 🇸🇻 If you enjoyed this Guatemala travel vlog, make sure to LIKE 👍, COMMENT 💬, and SUBSCRIBE 🔔 for more backpacking adventures across Central America and beyond.
