* (Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only) * Casper, Wyoming — On Friday, September 2, 2022, at approximately 1:54 a.m., two officers of the Casper Police Department were patrolling in the area of Lake McKenzie Park, a park located in the City of Casper at 1489 Bryan Stock Trail. While patrolling the area, they came across a vehicle parked near the shores of Lake McKenzie. There, they contacted an adult male identified as 38-year-old Corey David Garriott who was fishing after the park had closed. The officers discovered that Garriott had an active warrant for his arrest, who fled when the officers tried to bring up the warrant. The warrant was for a misdemeanor traffic warrant which the officers heard about over their earpiece while they were speaking with Garriott. During their contact, Garriott fled on foot from the officers. As the two officers pursued after Garriott, He produced and fired a weapon at them. Both officers returned fire, striking Garriott. Garriott was transported to the Wyoming Medical Center by ambulance, where he was later pronounced deceased. Neither police officer was injured but both were placed on administrative leave and, following an investigation by the Natrona County District Attorney, it was ruled that the officers (Officers Ryan Brownell and Megan Welge) were justified in firing their weapons. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Special thanks to Shout-Out Supporters on Patreon: - 'Vulture Customs' - 'DIY Solar Power with Will Prowse' - 'Roman1983' - Mark Demaline - Kaden - Anthony Eufemio - 'musicaltune23' - 'DaBlankOne' - 'Mr.StrangeTiger' - 'Donkbot' - Gage Kissinger - Yejezkel Lopez - Alex F - Eian Smith - Patrick Kirby - 'HelloDarknessMyOldFriend' - 'coco Coco' - Rob Winton - 'The Chocolate Thief' - 'Jacob from Wisconi' - 'gorey hole' - Joe - Luis Perez - Chris Wesley ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Support us on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/PoliceActivity Follow us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/Police_Activity Timestamps: 0:00 - Bodycam: Officer Brownell 3:22 - Bodycam: Officer Welge
