Hello Stroke Warriors musicians and all my Stroke Warriors friends. I want to take this opening opportunity to thank you for following me on this journey of relearning guitar after my stroke. The road to recovery has been challenging, but with faith, perseverance, and the support of loved ones, I am making progress every day. I will never forget that day when the entire right side of my body was completely disabled and the whirlwind of emotions that followed. That got me thinking—and maybe that means trouble. Before my stroke, again I ignored many warning signs about my health. Looking back, those poor choices likely contributed to what happened. But the past is the past, and I have decided to move forward and truly live my life. What matters now is what we choose to do from this moment on. Each day gives us a fresh opportunity to begin again, choose a new path, grow beyond who we were yesterday, and pray. So here is my bold claim: do not waste another day waiting for others to see something in you before you believe in yourself. See it within yourself—and go live it. Amen! The Bible reminds us that each day is a fresh opportunity to embrace renewal and new beginnings. Scriptures like Lamentations 3:22-23 and Isaiah 43:18-19 highlight God's unending love and compassion, urging us to let go of the past and look towards the future with hope and faith. This week, my guitar practice was a mix of enjoyment, excitement, and occasional frustration. Each session presented me with valuable learning experiences, helping me grow as a musician. The recordings from this week's practice may not be perfect, but they serve as a testament to the hard work and dedication I put into my craft. As I continue this journey of recovery, I am reminded of the importance of perseverance and passion. Playing the guitar has been a source of joy and fulfillment, and I encourage you to keep strumming for life, no matter the obstacles you face. Let us embrace each day as a new opportunity to grow, learn, and create beautiful music. Final thoughts, Charlie's Guitar Stroke Recovery Week 232 has been a reminder of the power of resilience and determination in the face of adversity. Through faith, hard work, and a positive mindset, we can overcome any challenges that come our way. Keep strumming, keep believing, and never stop pursuing your passion for music.
