Welcome back to Reza On The Journey! In this travel vlog, I explore the beautiful colonial city of Granada, Nicaragua, a destination that completely exceeded my expectations. After leaving the peaceful beach town of Las Peñitas, I traveled across Nicaragua through scenic landscapes, passing León, the mountains, and Managua before arriving in one of the country's most colorful and historic cities. Granada is one of the oldest colonial cities in the Americas, and from the moment I arrived, I was captivated by its vibrant atmosphere, beautifully preserved architecture, and welcoming locals. Located on the shores of Lake Nicaragua (Lago Cocibolca), Granada offers a perfect combination of history, culture, nature, and delicious food, making it one of the best places to visit in Nicaragua. During this walking tour, I wandered through Granada's charming streets lined with colorful colonial buildings, lively cafés, restaurants, boutique hotels, and local shops. I visited the city's iconic Granada Cathedral, admired its stunning yellow façade, and climbed to the rooftop for breathtaking panoramic views overlooking the city, surrounding volcanoes, and the nearby lake. My adventure continued to the beautiful waterfront of Lake Nicaragua, the largest lake in Central America. Standing on the peaceful pier while enjoying the fresh breeze and scenic views, it was hard to believe I wasn't looking out at the ocean. The calm atmosphere and incredible scenery made this one of my favorite moments in Granada. Along the way, I stopped to enjoy a refreshing fresh coconut, explored historic churches, watched traditional horse-drawn carriages pass through the city, and experienced the relaxed lifestyle that makes Granada such a special destination. As evening arrived, the streets became even more vibrant, with locals and visitors gathering around the central plaza to enjoy the city's lively atmosphere. To end the day, I enjoyed a delicious local fish dinner at one of Granada's restaurants before returning to my accommodation after walking more than 25,000 steps exploring this incredible city. Every corner of Granada offered something unique, from colorful architecture and historic landmarks to beautiful parks and unforgettable lake views.
