"不知道您是如何迎接新年的第一天？有不少民眾專程跑到墾丁或台東、等待2010年的第一道曙光，但是因為天氣不配合、雲層太厚了，原本預測在清晨六點35分應該出現的曙光、不是延後露臉、就是完全看不到。反而在人群比較少的離島蘭嶼、六點三十三分就搶先出現了、國內今年的第一道曙光。 民眾穿上大衣縮著身體，甚至有人躲進睡袋裡，想盡辦法要抵擋寒冷的海風，全都是為了要在這片草原上觀賞到台灣本島的第一道曙光。 可惜就在預定日出的六點三十五分，海邊上空的雲層卻愈來愈厚，太陽就是不露臉，大家好失望！不過就在大家準備離開的時候，六點五十五分、晚了20分鐘的太陽，終於出現了。 因為雲層太厚，太陽沒有準時露臉，也出現在台東縣的太麻和三仙台。民眾等了老半天，最後只在三仙台和太麻里的海平面上，看到天亮了，卻沒有看到太陽升起的那一刻，十分可惜，不過，大家還是玩得很盡興。 今年因為天公不作美，原本民眾萬分期待的墾丁和台東等本島的第一道曙光，都沒準時出現。反倒是、離島蘭嶼的日出、搶在早上六點33分就出現了，意外成為全國元旦的第一道曙光。"
