Take Cambly’s Speaking Quiz: https://cambly.biz/fluencypq Here's the link to the podcast episode: Simon Sinek: The Number One Reason Why You’re Not Succeeding | E145 https://youtu.be/Q-zuTZuYeCg?si=GNw4AxJB2mSnf1ER I apologize; it completely slipped my mind. In this example: 'Original: “And, you know, again, this young generation, because of all the reasons we’ve talked about and more, seems to exhibit the traits of being very conflict-avoidant, very uncomfortable with uncomfortable.” Option1 “This young generation, for various reasons we’ve discussed, often shows traits of being conflict-avoidant and uncomfortable with approaching challenging situations.” Option 2: “This young generation, as we’ve discussed, tends to be very conflict-avoidant and uncomfortable with difficult situations.” I forgot to point out that we also substituted 'because of all the reasons we’ve talked about and more' with the word 'various' for conciseness, and 'very uncomfortable with uncomfortable' with 'with approaching challenging situations,' which is basically what it means in the first example. In the second example, we substituted 'because of all the reasons we’ve talked about and more' with 'as we’ve discussed' and 'very uncomfortable with uncomfortable' with 'uncomfortable with difficult situations. Here, I post some useful information for English learners. I’m from Ukraine and I’ve worked on my English and accent, for the most part, on my own, but you can find out and trace my story by watching my videos. I’ve been studying American pronunciation for a long time, and I still do, and I guess I always will – because it’s not math. Learning a language, it’s a lifetime journey. I know exactly what it takes to become fluent and acquire an accent in a non-English speaking country, and I’ve never even been to one. And I’m sharing this information here – on my channel.
