On Monday, February 23, 2026, a Ferrari 296 GT3 EVO, which will debut this season, completed a day of testing at the Imola circuit. Following the launch of the first version in 2022, the Prancing Horse's GT3 car has received updates, becoming the EVO version in 2025. It was presented during the 24 Hours of Spa in June. The many improvements made to this version are also available for the previous model, so it can be upgraded. The 2026 EVO has seen improvements to the aerodynamics, internal fluid dynamics, and mechanicals. The splitter, front underbody, vortex generators, bumper appendages, and rear diffuser have been revised to improve front-downforce stability and reduce sensitivity to wake turbulence. The rear wing mounts are immediately noticeable, having been lightened with previously absent drilling, and the quick-adjust rear wing system is now derived from the LMGT3 version. The front and rear wheel arches are also new to accommodate tyres from different suppliers, as are the air intakes on the front hood, to improve brake and cabin cooling. The front and rear suspension kinematics have been modified, the gearbox has been optimised, while the base specification of the twin-turbo V6 engine remains unchanged. This 3.0-litre engine is derived from the road version, retaining its 120° V configuration with turbochargers inside the V, capable of developing approximately 600 hp (447 kW) at 7,250 rpm and 710 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. Power output is subject to change based on the Balance of Performance (BoP). Enjoy!
