Phil Lynott went on a solo tour during a break from Thin Lizzy's 1983 Farewell tour and took with him John Sykes and Brian Downey from Lizzy, as well as two future members of Grand Slam (Mark Stanway and Doish Nagle) to do some gigging. This unit was known as the "Three Musketeers". "A Night in the Life of A Blues Singer" was a track first recorded by Thin Lizzy back in 1978, but was never on any official release and was only played live by Lizzy once (Reading Festival 1983). Lynott and crew play a blistering version of it here, with John Sykes leading the way on guitar. This is taken from the "Live in Sweden" disc, recorded 8/15/1983.
