The situation has gone so far that a fake WhatsApp channel named “Deputy CMO, Andhra Pradesh” was allegedly created to spread confusion and misinformation. At a time when local body elections are taking place in the state, these fake campaigns have reportedly led to serious tensions. Critics allege that the opposition YSRCP, having realised that its political prospects would be weakened if the TDP, Jana Sena and BJP remained united, resorted to such tactics to damage the alliance. As soon as the false news surfaced, tensions reportedly escalated between TDP and Jana Sena supporters. However, the Jana Sena headquarters in Mangalagiri responded immediately, clarifying that it had no connection whatsoever with the WhatsApp channel, bringing relief to party supporters. Jagan has allegedly attempted several strategies in the past to break the alliance. These include allegedly influencing certain Jana Sena members and provoking them against the TDP, creating divisions within the Kapu community, accusing Pawan Kalyan of selling himself out for a package, and using fake accounts to spread claims that Jana Sena had been treated unfairly in seat-sharing arrangements. The Deputy Chief Minister's Office and the state government reportedly took the fake channel issue seriously and lodged a complaint with the cybercrime police. After registering a case and intensifying the investigation, the police action appears to have prompted the WhatsApp channel administrator to backtrack. Some individuals, reportedly driven by disappointment over not receiving positions or by personal resentment, allegedly shared the misleading news extensively from within the party, fuelling dissatisfaction among supporters. However, all these individuals must remember one important fact. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is giving Pawan Kalyan due importance in the alliance, and Pawan Kalyan himself has repeatedly stated that the coalition will remain united for the next 15 years.
