This will be given over and above the existing 50% reservation. In this video, I will tell you why I think this new scheme is nothing but a Jumla and a Lollipop to appease voters. The data suggests that more than 90% of general category people are eligible for being ‘Economically weak” and poor according to new criterion (based on my assumptions). So the question arises here, will the real poor people even benefit from this? What is the point of this new reservation? Ironically, people sill have to pay income tax despite being eligible under this category.
