I may have started with activewear, but the truth is, I don’t just want to dress you in the gym. I want to dress you in all parts of your life, from day to night. My heart (and your requests) have led me to designing for you Swimwear, Hiking apparel, Casualwear, and most recently, Underwear! Thank you for trusting me and allowing me to take on new categories! It’s so fun! But...as you can see…I’ve yet to design for the night! It’s been a dream of mine to one day design Sleepwear, and over the past year and a half, that’s what I have been doing behind the scenes: sketching, using @Adobe Illustrator to make CADs (FYI my fellow designers Adobe just released their new Enhanced Image Trace tool to make vectors in seconds), putting together tech packs, going through what feels like infinite rounds of prototypes and STILL not getting it right. It’s been a lot tougher than I thought it would be. Shouldn’t something so loose and comfy be easier? You would think. But because I always challenge myself to design something different from what’s already out there, and I’m always pushing for perfection, I end up taking longer than I want. I mean, I am almost done with the Sleepwear Collection but there are some styles that are holding everything else back. Ugh.
