It’s easy to identify toxic behavior in everyone around us—but how often do we stop and ask, “Could I be the problem?” In this video, we turn the focus inward. Maybe you’re quick to anger, easily offended, or have people walking on eggshells around you. Your feelings matter, but you’re also responsible for how you manage them. 📖 Galatians 6:5 - “For each one should carry their own load.” We also need to examine our double standards. When we fail, we explain why it happened. But when someone else fails, do we let that mistake define them? Do we want grace for ourselves while quickly judging others? 📖 Matthew 23:3 - “So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.” What about keeping a record of people’s mistakes or every favor you’ve done for them, only to use those things as ammunition during the next argument? Scripture tells us not to repay evil with evil or insult with insult. 📖 1 Peter 3:9 - “Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.” Instead of always asking, “What did they do wrong?” we should also ask, “How could I have handled this better?” 📖 Lamentations 3:40 - “Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord.” This doesn’t mean the other person is always right. Maybe they were wrong. Maybe you were wrong. Maybe you both were. But every conflict is an opportunity to examine ourselves, pray, and ask God where we need to grow. We can’t control whether someone else examines their heart—but we can make sure we’re willing to examine ours. 🙏 Before blaming everyone else, ask God: “What can I learn from this, and what needs to change in me?” #BibleStudy #SelfExamination #ChristianLiving #BiblicalTruth #Relationships #Faith #GodsWord #Jesus
