I don't careFinally, the latest Anime from the Gundam Franchise, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, is here. As a Gundam Fan, I was quite suprised with the appearance of GQuuuuuuX, I didn't expect Bandai and Sunrise tried to make the new Gundam not to be that kind of typical, which made me remember the time when IBO announced, a lot of fans blamed the design of the Gundam Barbatos is very ugly, but turns out quite a lot of fans loves the design of IBO suits when the anime was aired. And this time GQuuuuuuX gives us a redesigned, or imagine (IF) UC Timeline with redesigned MS, you can see a lot of UC MS in a different design, such as Zaku, Dom, and, most importantly, the Gundam. You may find it looks very weird compared to other Gundam designs, but trust me, I have watched the "GQuuuuuuX the Beginning", which is the first 3 episodes plus a prequel of the anime, the Gundam in it looks very cool when they are in action. Ok, too much introduction of this, let's go back to the actual thing that I want to talk about... the songs. This time we get three songs from different artists, the Opening Song "Plazma" by Yonezu Kenshi, the Ending Song of the TV Version "もうどうなってもいいや (I don't care)" by Hoshimachi Suisei, and the Insert Song "ミッドナイト・リフレクション (Midnight Reflection)" by NOMELON NOLEMON. Honestly, all of them are nice, but the edit is not as nice as I think. Especially Plazma. As a fast-paced opening song, the opening animation didn't catch up so well, with some of the scenes seeming slow. So I decided to edit it with ミッドナイト・リフレクション (Midnight Reflection). At first, this song gave me a vibe of night, space, and stars, which did actually suit the theme and the atmosphere of this anime so well, and I thought Sunrise was going to make it the Opening song, but sadly, they didn't. So let me do this. But it is more complicated than I expected at the beginning. I can't say it is not hard for editing, since some shots like Machu (the protagonist) didn't get enough time for the scene where she falls into the water, or Challia (that green-haired uncle), who gets more screen time, but it is easy to cut the with the scene when his body leaning back, it will look so incomplete if I cut it too much. But in some parts that are quite easy to cut, like the scene when Nyan is running, I can just simply make it shorter; the scene where GQuuuuuuX's blinks in the water can match with this song so well, and the most important, I can just simply make the Gundam launch with the chorus, and the rest can catch up so well with the song.
