This episode was filmed 12th May 2022. We are off on another adventure and this time we are crossing the channel to France. It is Carol’s first time driving onto the Eurotunnel train, how will she get on? The sun is shining as we arrive in Calais and our first stop is the supermarket to stock up on food. We head straight to the beach for lunch followed by a windy walk across the sand to the harbour wall. We have worked up an appetite and soon spot a Tunisian cafe selling beignets and mint tea which were delicious. Our next stop is Plage du Braek near Dunkirk, where we were hoping to spend the night, but it proves to be unsuitable due to too much sand being blown about by the wind. As the sun starts to go down we find a good spot on Park4Night and settle down for our first night in France.
