Leopard Grabs a Baboon Juvenile... Then the Whole Troop Drives It From Its Meal | Wildlife Documentary - A Honey Badger begins the morning digging for beetles, termites, and larvae across the dry Kalahari. Several meters behind, a Bat-eared Fox notices an easy opportunity. Instead of doing all the digging itself, the fox follows the badgerās trail and feeds on insects left behind in the disturbed soil. At first, the Honey Badger does not notice. But the fox keeps getting closer. Eventually, the badger turns around and sees exactly who has been following its feeding trail. The chase begins. The Bat-eared Fox uses speed and sharp turns to stay ahead, eventually racing around an old termite mound. The Honey Badger closes in. Then one missed turn changes everything. The badger crashes into a cracked section of the mound. The wall collapses. Inside is a hidden bee colony. Thousands of bees pour out. The Bat-eared Fox escapes while the Honey Badger suddenly becomes the one running for safety. Rolling in sand is not enough. The swarm keeps following until the badger reaches a seasonal waterhole and disappears beneath the surface. But escaping the bees does not mean it has forgotten what was exposed inside the mound. The Honey Badger returns. This time, it pulls out a large piece of brood comb and carries it away. Later, the Bat-eared Fox returns tooāand finds a smaller piece left behind. Which moment surprised you mostāthe Fox following the Honey Badger, the hidden hive breaking open, or the Honey Badger returning after escaping the swarm?
