This is the song that turned me from a casual MARETU enjoyer to a fan. As someone who went through months of religious abuse, I have an understanding on how these people work. To this day, this song is the only one that makes me cry. It just hurts excruciatingly... Translation notes: - The main aspect of this song is religion. There's literally "Creation" and "Nirvana" on the picture, and there's so much religious undertone in this song. - The title is SIU, which can stand for "Suck it up" or 四有, which refers to the Buddhist concept of: "the four stages of existence: birth, life, death, and limbo." - Thanks to @egg5823 , they highlighted that the symbol in this song is 神 (God) in Chinese bronze script. Search for "Chinese bronze script 神" in Google, and you'll see that the middle and the right part of the symbol perfectly look like it. In my opinion, MARETU added the left part to also make it look like two people praying. Check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxN4E4zydSNNXjJIW8kxMOxpm9i1Hy-aC4 - 悠久の魂に冥を: 冥 means "underworld". Usually paired with 福, which means "fortune, bliss". When they're used together as 冥福, it means "happiness in the next world, heavenly bliss". Usually used as a phrase as 冥福を祈る which means "pray for the repose (heavenly rest) of a soul." But what if you took the "bliss" out from this phrase? I believe MARETU intentionally wrote this on its own, which is why I translated it as "burn in Hell". Could have been "Naraka" to keep the Buddhist vibes going, but I thought Hell is understood by all. - I hope that people with a keen eye noticed that I changed the very last line. To me, the first chorus feels like she's talking generally about victims. At the end though, because taking your own life is a sin and the mother tried her best and thus can be forgiven, with those morals, the mother is the worst victim of all. She asks you to send your love to her, and not to the child. I hope this final blow of emotions is conveyed well.
