No one in their right senses should also think of putting themselves through such pain. Everything else aside, you deserve to be with someone who wants you as much as you want to be with them. I may sound harsh, but trust me, I learned this the hard way. If only I had someone to tell me what I am telling you now. But like they say, "experience is the best teacher." Back in my first year at Uni, I was friends with a girl. The friendship grew naturally from when our paths crossed when we were both at school. It then happened that we were in the same classes pursuing the same degree. After a year of walking to class together, sharing a desk, doing projects and assignments together, going out and having fun together, and even meeting each other's family, I realized that I had developed feelings for her. I was attracted to her in a way that was more than friendship. At first, I did not know how to deal with these feelings, mainly because I was not sure of what she felt towards me. It would kill me every time I saw her with another guy or anytime she told me of a guy she was crushing on. Even worse, were the times she was trying to play matchmaker for me, and other girls she thought were good for me. After fighting this silent battle for several months, I decided to open up with how I felt.
