台南孔廟前，從獻官到樂手，以及跳六佾舞的36位小朋友，穿著清代服裝，全國歷史最悠久的台南孔廟，舉辦的祭孔大典極為考究。今年是孔子2559週年誕辰，馬總統也以上賓的身分出席台南孔廟的祭典，只是前後約3分鐘，上完香就離開，沒有公開發言，但總統到台南孔廟上香，也創了台南孔廟祭典四百年來的首例。台北孔廟今年的祭孔大典，莊嚴肅穆外，還多了點趣味，睽違12年的拔智慧毛古禮，融合創意，改成在牛身上佈滿2000支毛筆，讓民眾拿取。每年的這個時候，全國各地都會舉辦祭孔大典，舉凡祭品、音樂、佾舞、走聰慧門、吃智慧糕，祭孔儀式大同小異，但最終目的是希望人們體會儒家精神，並落實在生活中。
