Happy Holidays! This week we are brainstorming my Vintage Honda Trail 70 Snow Bike. Think of it as a minibike version on a Timbersled or a Chrysler Snow Runner on steroids! I will be making a bunch of videos of the build so be sure to subscribe so you don't miss out on the fun! We start off talking about the pit bike snow track I got off eBay. I don't see a lot of these for sale so I think we have a special build ahead for you! The snow tred / swingarm set up is made to bolt up to the Chinese 125cc and 110cc Lifan or Coolster or Apollo kids mini dirt bikes I think. The swing arm has a jack shaft built in to it so it should bolt in to the trail 70 frame with minimal mods. I wanted to do something a little different with it, so I decided to modify the swingarm to fit a knock off Honda Trail 70 frame. A little cutting and welding here and there and I think it will be an easy build! The engine I am using is a fully automatic electric start 110cc engine out of a Chinese quad. I got the engine for free from the dump. It had a bad flywheel and stator, but that was an easy fix. Pretty great score and you can't beat the FREE price tag! I am going to need to chop and weld a little on the swingarm to make the setup work. I am still looking for a short enough mono shock to use on the rear. I might use some stock Honda Trail 90 or Trail 70 shocks if I can't find a mono shock. The trail 70 forks were too short since we will be using skis instead of a front tire I am going to need to find a fork off of a mid 1970's Honda XL100 or SL100 or XL125. I guess I am off to eBay to find a set. The snow bike kit came with two skis and a bracket to bolt to the Chinese dirt bikes front fork. I will need to make my own bracket to fit the skis to the vintage Honda forks. We end up the video doing an inventory of parts I need to order to get this bike moving. Looks like I will be spending a few bucks on eBay or Amazon. I already have the wiring harness, cdi, coil and the rest of the electronics. But I need to order a whole lot of stuff yet like a gas tank, seat, handlebars and a ton of more stuff. I will get everything ordered and start building next week! Stay Tuned and please subscribe so you don't miss out on this awesome build! --------------------------------- 0:00 - Intro 1:40 - Pit Bike Snow Track 4:58 - The 110cc Engine 7:49 - What Mods do I Need to Do? 10:03 - I Need New Forks 11:07 - The Front Skis 12:45 - What Parts do I Need! 17:37 - Fabrication I Need to Do --------------------------------- All Bigfoot Bikes and Brews content is for entertainment purposes only.
