He had been listening to Adventist World Radio in his hometown of Lira, Uganda, and had become convicted about the Bible-based truths he was hearing. When he learned that a baptism was planned for the following week, he decided to attend. But when he told his wife, things didn’t go so well. Rachel became very angry, convinced that her husband was listening to satanic messages. That night, as they slept, Rachel had a dream. She and her husband were dressed in white, walking through a beautiful building where other people, also dressed in white, sang a melodious song she had never heard before. The dream was so vivid that when she awoke, the song was still playing in her head. She was convinced this was a message from God, and immediately woke up her husband to tell him they must both be baptized the following week. Isaac was overjoyed, but when their extended family found out, they went to Isaac and Rachel’s home and stole the clothes off their backs and took their good shoes, so they would be unable to attend the baptism! The young couple was not discouraged, but how could they possibly go now?
