Moon Chasers is a marimba solo written by UNT Percussion Coordinator Mark Ford.    The music is about two people in love who are separated over a long distance and connected only by the moon.   The work, dedicated to Mark's wife Ewelina, is the musical foundation for the second movement of Ford’s Concerto for Marimba and Wind Ensemble premiered in Australia with the Melbourne Conservatorium Wind Symphony directed by Nicholas Williams. The Concerto is also published by Musicon Publications and will be available in early 2023.
