We show you how to build a matching CurseForge profile, install a Fabric server, add your mods, test everything, and let your friends join. First things first, create a custom Minecraft profile in CurseForge. Name the profile, select your Minecraft version, and choose Fabric as the mod loader. From there, open Browse Content and install the mods you want. CurseForge will also install any required dependencies automatically. Everyone joining needs the same mods installed locally. Return to My Modpacks, right-click your profile, select Share Profile, and export it as a ZIP file with Mods selected. Send the ZIP to your friends. They can select Import in CurseForge, choose the file, and let CurseForge create the matching profile. Next, download the Fabric installer for Windows and create an empty server folder on your desktop. Open the installer, match its Minecraft version to your CurseForge profile, and select the Server tab. Set the server location to your new folder, click Install, download the server JAR when prompted, generate the server launch JAR, and finish the installer. Open the server folder and run start.bat. The first launch will stop because you must accept the Minecraft EULA. If the required files are not generated, install Java 25 for Windows and run Jarfix if needed. Once eula.txt appears, open it in Notepad, change eula=false to eula=true if you agree to the EULA, save the file, and run start.bat again. When the initial server finishes starting, enter stop in its console before changing files. You can delete the world folder now if you need a fresh world on the next launch. Then open your CurseForge profile folder, copy the JAR files from its mods folder, and paste them into the server's mods folder. Remove client-only mods, such as Iris Shaders, 3D Skin Layers, and certain entity texture or sound features, because they may cause the server to fail. Run start.bat again and wait for the mods to load. To test the server, launch Minecraft from the same CurseForge profile, open Multiplayer, select Direct Connection, enter localhost, and join. You can enter op followed by your username in the server console if you want operator permissions. The video confirms the mods are working by showing a minimap and mod-added furniture on the server. Your friends must launch the CurseForge profile they imported before connecting. Friends outside your local network will also need your public IP after you complete port forwarding.
