We explore its vast network of 43 stations and 32 routes, uncover its history, point out hidden details and fun facts, and give you the tips you need to master driving for Stepford Connect. From the bustling halls of Stepford Central to the serene terminus at Llyn-by-the-Sea, we cover it all. Make sure you're subscribed and have your notifications on so you don't miss our future guides for every SCR operator! Video Overview & Detailed Chapter Guide What is Stepford Connect? The Network's Workhorse Stepford Connect isn't just an operator; it's the absolute core of the SCR network. It provides the essential local stopping services that link most of the game's cities together. As one of the first two operators unlocked for all new players, it creates a fascinating mix of inexperienced drivers learning the ropes and experts running the complex timetables. But be warned: we've all been that new driver in a Class 357 who's had a little... mishap with the buffer stops at Stepford Central! By The Numbers: Stations, Routes, Depots & Sidings Stepford Connect is the largest operator by infrastructure. It boasts a massive 43 stations, served by 32 different routes. To support this enormous operation, it owns 11 depots and 5 sidings for stabling trains, which is more than any other operator in the game. Key routes that form the backbone of its service include Airport Connect, Leighton Connect, Whitefield Connect, Morganstown Connect, and the Regional One and Two services. The Three Major Hubs: Stepford Central, Leighton City & Llyn-by-the-Sea The entire Connect network revolves around three critical stations. Stepford Central is the heart of the entire SCR universe, a hub for terminating and connecting services where you'll likely stop on your way to Stepford Victoria or Airport Central. Its long platforms are forgiving for beginners learning to stop. Fun Fact: Stepford Victoria is based on London Charing Cross. The other two major hubs are Leighton City, a starting point for many routes in the west, and the coastal terminus of Llyn-by-the-Sea. Branch Line Bonanza: Connect's 5 Quirky Branches The SCR network is famous for its branch lines, and Connect operates the most of any operator: a total of five. Two of the most notable are the lines to Willowfield (a terminus for the Regional Two service) and Whitefield. A crucial piece of information for drivers: the Whitefield line is not electrified, meaning standard electric trains like the Class 357 cannot operate there—you'll need a diesel unit! Rolling Stock: From the Humble 357 to the Powerful Class 68 The Connect fleet is diverse, catering to all its different routes. Train costs range from a modest 300 points for a Class 707 all the way up to 3000 points for the powerful diesel locomotive, the Class 68. The workhorse for many beginners is the Class 357, a train known for its... eventful introductions to buffer stops at terminuses. Drive carefully! Airlink Historical Gem: Airlink Bridge & Its Ferry Collision Risk! The station Benton is one of the oldest in SCR, having undergone many changes over its 8-year history, and is based on the real-life Birmingham New Street. But the real excitement is on the bridge just outside. The Airlink Bridge has a random event where a ferry can crash into it, causing the line speed to be temporarily reduced to a crawl of just 5 mph! The Airlink Story: How Metro Changed Everything The Airlink route to The Airport Zone Tour (Post-V1.10 Rework) The entire Airport area was completely remade in version 1.10. The first stop from the city is Airport Parkway, where most Connect services stop. Continuing on, you approach the massive Airport Central. Thanks for watching :D Current sub count : 244
