REO Brothers 🇵🇭 The REO Brothers is a Filipino band from Tacloban City, Philippines, known for their outstanding performances of The Beatles’ music and other classic hits from the 1960s. The band’s name, REO, is derived from the brothers’ family names: Evasco, their middle name, and Otic, their surname. The band was officially formed in 2009 by four brothers: Reno, RJ, Raymart, and Ralph. They performed at local venues throughout Leyte and Samar until October 2013. In November 2013, following the devastation caused by Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan), the band relocated to Manila and continued their journey as a band. Their big break came in December 2013 when they performed at the Araneta Coliseum (The Big Dome) during ABS-CBN’s Christmas special, “Tabang Tulong: The ABS-CBN All-Star Concert.” In March 2014, the REO Brothers were invited to perform at a fundraising event for Typhoon Yolanda survivors at Madison Square Garden in New York City, sharing the stage with Jennifer Hudson, Pentatonix, A Great Big World, Jessica Sanchez, DJ Poet Name Life, apl.de.ap, and Charice. In June 2014, the band was invited by the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo, Japan, in celebration of Philippine Independence Day. In March 2015, the REO Brothers embarked on their first Australian tour. In June 2015, the REO Brothers achieved another major milestone with their first-ever U.S. tour, bringing their music to audiences across America. In August 2015, they were invited to perform at the annual International Beatleweek Festival at The Cavern Club in Liverpool, United Kingdom—the legendary venue where The Beatles performed during their early years. In November 2015, the band performed at the ASEAN Tourism Forum in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2019, the REO Brothers returned to Australia, performing in several cities across the country. In 2020, their younger brother Roy officially joined the band as keyboardist and vocalist. During the same year, the REO Brothers gained international recognition on YouTube through their cover performances of Beatles songs and other classic hits. Their videos attracted millions of viewers worldwide and helped build a growing global fanbase. Over the past three consecutive years, the REO Brothers have continued to tour internationally, staging successful concerts across various states in the United States and Canada. Today, the REO Brothers are recognized as one of the Philippines’ most successful family bands and among the world’s most celebrated performers of Beatles music, captivating audiences with their exceptional musicianship, vocal harmonies, and passion for timeless classics.
