You are not allowed to join a snake or a ladder in its middle. If you land on another player, then move forward to the next available space. If you land on another player who is on a ladder or snake, then as long as there is room, you join them. If there isn’t room, then skip it to the next available space. You must land by exact count into the final space. The first player to do this, wins!
