Yesterday another YouTuber named Abroad in Japan, made a post on Facebook criticizing my recent video for something I didn’t say. The original video was well received by my viewers. He told his fans I was “Decrying the end of Japan!” which is not anything I said in the video content, title, or thumbnail ect. I filmed multiple areas covering half the West side of Tokyo. It’s hostile and unnecessary to make a post like that. Chris is not open to talking or making amends, which I think is unfortunate. If Chris and I had talked we could have found a lot of common ground. There didn’t have to be bad blood between us, but this has been going on in the background for 5 years with Chris taking cheap jabs at me, calling my language videos lazy, making fun of my thumbnails publicly on his channel ect. His trolls are nasty. Many creators in the community sent me messages this morning shocked about Chris and the toxicity from some of his fans. I’m saddened by the situation and I don’t like my videos being taken out of context. It is what it is. I think there won’t be a resolution, though I wish we could just talk it out like adults. YouTube drama is silly.
