This is the second episode of my flight vlog, where I take CX165 from Hong Kong to Brisbane. Overall, I find CX's long-haul service meets my expectations. Cathay Pacific's economy class is considered the best, as recognised by Skytrax. The IFE screen offers excellent quality with 4K resolution, and I can view the external camera during the flight and select my favourite movies. Their IFE system has a wide range of films, TV shows, and even Disney series, which I really enjoy. The food is tasty, though the breakfast options run out quickly, especially for rear economy passengers who can only choose one item. However, this isn't a big issue, as both meals I had were delicious. The butter on the bread was slightly salted, and the first meal included Häagen-Dazs ice cream—a really satisfying meal. It's worth noting that Cathay Pacific is relatively friendly to aviation enthusiasts like me. I requested crew fill out my flight logbook and requested a cockpit visit after landing. My request was granted, and I was able to enter the cockpit to discuss with the pilot the differences between the A350 series and older wide-body aircraft, along with some interesting features. It was a wonderful experience to connect with aviation professionals. However, it is not a guaranteed opportunity. If there was a check ride, which means the instructor captain is examining the other pilot, I would be unable to visit.
