Vmaker is a new product in the Appsumo store from the same team behind Animaker. This is not a sendspark killer for me (spoiler alert). Most notably, they do not have the gif/email type video embeds that other tools have and the branding they impose is a bit much, in my opinion. What I love about Vmaker: ✅ If they execute on all the features promised on the Appsumo page - this will be a very nice screen recording tool and I am sure that it will make a lot of people happy! ✅ Unlimited Videos ✅ Unlimited Storage ✅ Fantastic price ($49 LTD) ✅ Ability to work within different workspaces ✅ Folders to organize your video content ✅ Videos record in up to 4k ✅ Plug-in worked (even if it had a few glitches, it wasn’t as bad as some I have tried) What I’m not so impressed with regarding Vmaker: ❌Appsumo Page marketing made me think that all the “coming soon” features were currently available... This felt a bit disingenuous ❌I don’t clearly understand the teams' role ❌Editor is almost useless - VERY BASIC ❌Some risk with unlimited storage and 4k recording for just $49 - How sustainable? ❌Video quality seemed a bit off - This might have been my fault ❌A bit glitchy ❌The branding + inability to embed/use their videos ❌❌ The dealbreaker: If the only way to share and use these videos is to send them via link to that Vmaker branded page then I think I will refund this product within the 60 day window. I imagine other dumplings will feel the same and hopefully they modify or do something to enable the videos to be shared without the over-the-top branding. Feels like a freemium product despite being put on the Team Plan as a part of the Appsumo deal. How does this compare to Sendspark? Sendspark hasn’t been perfect for me but I trust that the team is working on it and they have made some improvements. I can upload my videos to Sendspark and use it for hosting (worse case scenario) and the pages I send clients to do not have sendspark branding. In the future there will be cname support + even more ability to brand out the content. I also like the team behind it. How does it compare to Berrycast?
