臺北流行音樂中心介於南港車站與捷運藍線昆陽站之間，採複合型園區設置，基地面積8.96公頃，以市民大道區隔為北基地及南基地。 可容納5000人、專屬流行音樂演出的中大型表演場地「表演廳」座落於北基地，南基地則有以主題策展方式呈現臺灣流行音樂光榮歷史與各種面貌的「流行音樂文化館」、以培育臺灣音樂人才為目標的「產業區」等場館。 集結流行音樂與流行文化，臺北流行音樂中心不僅是流行音樂表演場所，更是以流行音樂產業出發、描述流行文化與生活型態的機能型園區。 臺北流行音樂中心建築由美國 RUR Architecture DPC 設計，建築靈感來自古羅馬廣場，利用環形空間結合藝術、商業、市集和演出活動，希望以此集結音樂人才、社會大眾及國外觀…
