보리는 제주에서 만난 앞집 강이지예요. 엄마와 형제들과 진드기에 뒤덮인 모습으로 처음 만났는데, 형제들이 어디론가 뿔뿔이 흩어지는 동안 혼자 남았어요. 매일 배고프고, 담벼락 위에 올라와 언니 오빠가 지나가기만을 기다렸어요. 그렇게 쑥쑥 자라서 중성화 수술도 받고, 이제는 언니, 오빠랑 살고 있지만 여전히 진짜 엄마를 기다리고 있어요. 보리가 원래 살던 곳에는 다른 곳에 보내졌다가 다시 돌아온 형제 '무무'랑 엄마 '아이비'가 아직 살고 있거든요. 모두가 좋은 가족을 찾아 행복하게 사는 것이 보리 언니 꿈이래요.
