NYMR resident loco GWR 66xx Class No. 6619 spent the summer of 2008 on loan to the Kent and East Sussex Railway. Several drivers, fireman and cleaners from the NYMR accompanied the loco and were able to do a bit of driving and firing along with the regular KESR crews.
