奈良市の平城京跡から国内で初めて、奈良時代の人身売買に関するやり取りが記録された木簡が出土しました。 木簡は、今年5月、奈良市が実施した平城京跡の発掘調査で出土したもので、井戸の跡から発見されました。長さ約60センチ、幅4センチほどの木簡は一部が折れてなくなっていますが、表と裏に70字以上の文字が記されています。 木簡は8世紀後半ごろのもので、役所に提出するための文書だったと考えられていて、奈良時代の身分制度で所有者に支配・売買される対象とされてきた「奴婢（ぬひ）」について「代金の半額だけを先に支払った」という趣旨の内容が記録されています。 調査を行った奈良市教育委員会によりますと「奴婢」の取引について記録された木簡が…
