종로3가에서 퇴계로까지, 종묘 바로 앞에 1km나 이어진 콘크리트 건물이 있습니다. 1968년에 지어진 세운상가인데요, 우리나라 첫 주상복합으로 꼽히는 건물이거든요. 2009년에 종묘 쪽 맨 앞 한 동을 헐어 냈지만 거기서 멈췄고, 2022년엔 거꾸로 1,109억 원짜리 공중 보행로까지 놓였죠. 남은 일곱 동을 한꺼번에 사들여 부수기엔 덩치가 너무 크더라고요. 그래서 이제는 옆 동네 재개발 돈으로 한 토막씩 사서 공원으로 바꿉니다. 첫 토막은 을지로 쪽 삼풍상가 일대이고, 목표는 북악산에서 종묘를 지나 남산까지 이어지는 약 5만㎡ 초록 길입니다. #세운상가 #종묘 …
