Firms like Vensys Energy and BASF pledged large sums, and BMW and other German manufacturers promised to expand their operations in Tamil Nadu. The state also secured a partnership to bring Germany’s well-known dual vocational training model to benefit local youth. In the UK, agreements were reached in aerospace, defence, shipbuilding, and advanced manufacturing. A new facility to make RFID tags was confirmed, alongside educational collaborations with universities and design schools to train students in global standards. Talks with major names like Rolls-Royce also opened the door for future defence and aerospace projects. This is the largest set of investments secured by Stalin on any foreign trip so far. Beyond the money and jobs, the deals highlight Tamil Nadu’s growing reputation as a hub for modern industries such as electric vehicles, clean energy, pharmaceuticals, and aerospace.
